Not only does this veteran 100% deserve this honor, he grew up in Edmonton as an Oilers fan, so to him he must be living the dream. I cannot even contain my happiness for him, because I know that he deserves this. And it makes me even a little happier that Edmonton fans are pissed about it. I'm sorry, puck sluts, Taylor Hall has been in the league 10 years less than Ference, he is in no position to become their leader. He probably only has an A because he's half decent. But he cannot bring the same amount of experience and leadership to the locker room that Ference can. So congratulations Andrew Ference, and even though you're a captain somewhere else, you'll always be a Bruin to me.
